Focused Mornings Build Key Skills

Each morning from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, children dive into purposeful lessons from the High Scope curriculum. Through hands-on activities, they strengthen reading and writing skills, practice counting and sorting, and explore science concepts—all while building the focus and confidence they’ll carry into kindergarten.

Healthy Meals & Rest Support Growing Minds

Your child enjoys nutritious morning and afternoon snacks and a wholesome lunch as part of our included Culinary Adventures Around the World program. After mealtime, a peaceful rest period helps them recharge for an afternoon of discovery and play.

Afternoons Filled With Exploration & Playful Learning

In the afternoon, children learn through imaginative play, creative centers, and social interaction. This unstructured exploration time reinforces the academic lessons from the morning and builds social, emotional, and problem-solving skills naturally.

Active Play Indoors & Out

Between our BEAM interactive floor games and exciting playground, there’s no shortage of movement and fun. Physical activity supports balance, coordination, and teamwork—key components of healthy development.

Structure That Builds School Readiness

Our consistent routines help children feel secure and confident as they prepare for kindergarten. With clear expectations and gentle guidance, they learn to follow directions, manage transitions, and take pride in their growing independence.

Hear What Parents Have To Say...

We’d love to share some of the things we love and share with others about SLC so often:

Mrs Hala – when we first started at SLC, we were sooo scared! Mrs. Hala was so caring, loving, genuine and wise! She helped us so many times with things outside of daycare, with advice for how to start solids, help with tricky, gassy baby things, and what rashes to be worried with and what is a normal, weird baby moment. She was always so understanding with us as new parents. We have such a place in our heart for Mrs. Hala!

Mrs. Jenny – Mrs. Jenny brings such a sweet, personable energy to our mornings! Even now, I chat with Mrs. Jenny weekly about Cas, but also just life. I feel like I’m friends with Mrs. Jenny and look forward to saying good morning! While with Mrs. Jenny, Cas learned many skills to help with eating, sharing, and so much sign language! She is always so respectful of our boundaries, while also championing us as parents.

Ms. Zoë – We love Ms. Zoë!! Cas loves hanging out with Ms. Zoë and can’t resist a cuddle with her! Ms. Zoë is always so calming and positive! She has such a “everything’s going to be ok” energy that she brings to a kiddo that literally never stops moving, exploring new corners, and crumbs!

Ms. Morgan – Nick and I are blown away at the learning that has happened with Ms. Morgan! Cas has grown leaps and bounds since starting with the Pelicans. Not only has he been getting better with colors, patterns, recognition and memory, but Ms. Morgan also has helped us reinforce so many life skills. Cas has gotten better at sitting down to listen, learn and understand when something is important. That’s so hard! He has also gained lots of independence with food and helping with general things like cleaning up or helping carry something. These are skills we teach at home, but when they align so strongly with the daily learning, it means the world.

Ms. Annabelle – Ms. Annabelle brings a calm, fun, imaginative energy to the room! Cas loves playing outside with Ms. Annabelle. Ms. Annabelle always asks how my day’s going, which we always appreciate!

Ms. Dee – Ms. Dee is always willing to help, answer a question, or hold an umbrella! She is an incredible facilitator and makes sure everyone around her feels supported. From our time at SLC, we have seen her many times step in and help where she can! Cas wasn’t too sure about their friendship at the beginning, but now he waves good bye every day to Ms. Dee!

Kitchen Team – We appreciate everything you do and prepare for our little guy! He loves eating at school and eating in general! That is lots in part to the delicious meals you make! Cas looks forward to eating and we appreciate you taking time to put together healthy well rounded meals, culturally and nutritionally.

Mrs. Sarah – We appreciate everything you do! Thank you for being so flexible with us throughout our time at SLC and being supportive of our family.

A common theme we love at SLC is the abounding wonderful care, attention, and support you share for not only Casper but our whole family. It means more than we can share. We have had such great experiences at SLC and are looking forward to continuing!
